PD this week was Blogs. On Wednesday night, we were looking at:
- setting up a ‘Blog’
- ‘posting’ a message
- adding an image /mp3 to a ‘post’
How to Start a Blog
- Go to www.edublogs.org
- Create your own blog name – title – create
- Print or write your password down
- When in Admin section, go to:
- Users – update password
- Change Presentation / Theme
Adding a Post
- ‘wp-admin’ added to blog address
- Dashboard – Write a post – Save or Publish
- Some Themes let you add admin options
- NB: To be able to make a quick post, at the bottom, right click on “Press It” to put a link in favourites
Adding an Image

The image must be uploaded first, then added to a post “send to editor”
Same for Podcasts – songbird.mp3 (Do you like the song?)
If you set up a blog let me know, I will comment and count time towards PD.
Need a reason to start a blog, and now you have one. A blog is a great place to share what your students are learning, how they feel about what they are doing, and a collection of their knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences. What they did, who with, how it was done and what outcomes are evident. Podcasts, PowerPoints, Pictures, Plus more can all be included.
